Karen Beam

Mrs. Karen Beam joined Executive 2000 Institute in 1999, bringing with her a wealth of knowledge and experience from over 14 years of highly successful retail and manufacturing experience. Her intuitive business sense opened the door to exploration and expansion, and her contributions doubled profits in the first year alone. In both training and recruiting, for retailers as well as manufacturers, she had led Executive 2000 Institute to becoming one of the top human resources management consulting firms in North America.

After receiving a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from the University of Western Ontario, Mrs. Beam put her theoretical training into practice out in the field with both front-line employees and customers. Her understanding of people and belief in others led Mrs. Beam to executive positions in both operations and human resources. Mr. Omar Benidir, Chief Executive Officer of Executive 2000 Institute is quick to point out that Mrs. Beam is a “unique leader who is profoundly excited by the spiritual quest in business as well as all areas of life.” Not only has she become one of the most influential and respected leaders in Canada, but Mrs. Beam continues to devote time to developing and teaching Sunday School programs and is most recently the co-author of The Inner Global Village, a book that will be one of the most important works in developing tomorrow’s leaders by infusing children with character.

Having traveled extensively throughout Canada, the United States and Europe, Mrs. Beam was a key player in the expansion of Danier Leather Corporation and Laura Shop. As the pioneering General Manager for Gymboree Canada, a division of $350M USD San Francisco–based retailer, she built the entire Canadian team and led them to achieve the highest sales and productivity results in all of Gymboree International. Her success at Gymboree was due in large part to her focus on promoting and inspiring excellence through effective recruitment, selection, training and motivating strategies that met the needs of an expanding multinational.

Another component of Mrs. Beam’s well-rounded profile includes her role as Senior Director of Human Resources for a large multi–national manufacturing company. Among other things, she was directly involved in designing and implementing a comprehensive succession and manpower planning program as well as the company’s first technical and soft skills management training program.

A business–minded leader with a down-to-earth approach and extraordinary communication skills at all levels. Mrs. Beam has received numerous awards that can be attributed to her outstanding abilities to develop people. With expertise in manpower planning and building results–driven teams, she continuously seeks creative solutions with sensitivity to organizational and staff needs. Add Mrs. Beam’s current focus on enhancing and developing character in children, and you will find the beautiful seed of success and happiness in every single soul she has touched.
